So it seems I’m back in the game. I think it was a combination of words in my head waiting to be released, mixed with the words of ViolentViolet. She was harsh, and bitchy, but I loved it because she was also brutally honest. She put me in my place faster than I think anyone ever has ever done. She was completely right. I wasn’t being a poet, I was being a drama queen, wanting the attention more than anything else, instead of writing for myself, for the sake of writing – and she said she knew I was better than that. I’m not surprised I felt like I couldn’t write anymore. No real writer should ever put the praise of his or her friends/peers before their own passion to write what’s in their hearts. It’s superficial and I’m incredibly ashamed for doing so, and I apologise to all of you for my less than desirable behaviour. This announcement has come as a bad time, as I’m soon to be away for a fairly long while (6 months, more or less), but I believe there is always time to attempt redemption.
On a positive note, I reached 5,500 page views not too long ago, so thank you very much to those who have contributed, and the watches and the favourites since I ran off like a sulking infant :-D
I also realised something. I have over 250 people that I watch, and I so seldom bother to give any feedback, yet expect everyone to jump when I write something new. The balance must be restored, dammit :-P and so when I have the time, and I see the deviations, instead of just being idle on facebook, I will make sure I do my part in the Deviant community.
